Bruce Hornsby, Christian McBride and Jack DeJohnette to Team Up for JazzReach Benefit

Multi-Grammy Award winner Bruce Hornsby will join forces with jazz stars Christian McBride and Jack DeJohnette for a JazzReach benefit this Wednesday at B.B. King’s Blues Club and Grill in Manhattan’s Times Square. There will be sets at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

The trio has a new album due this summer (Camp Meeting, Sony/Legacy) but Wednesday night will mark the group’s first live showcase. They will also appear at the JVC Jazz Festival-Newport on Aug. 11.

Hornsby propelled to pop stardom in the ’80s with his hit album The Way It Is, generating three Top 20 hits and leading to three Grammys.

All ticket proceeds will directly benefit JazzReach, an arts organization dedicated to spreading jazz awareness through workshops and educational programs. General tickets cost $50. VIP tickets, including priority seating, a meet-the-artists and gift bag, cost $100. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster. For more information on JazzReach, visit jazzreach.org.
