Winters at New York’s Blue Note have always hosted residencies of some of jazz’s best musicians and this winter will carry on that tradition.

Arturo Sandoval (pictured) will begin his tenure at the club on Nov. 29 and continue through Dec. 4, with performances every night at both 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Tickets are $30 for tables and $20 at the bar. Sandoval will be celebrating the release of his first live CD, aptly titled Arturo Sandoval: Live at the Blue Note. Joining Sandoval will be Alexis Arce on drums,Tomas Cruz on percussion, Javier Concepcion on piano, Ed Calle on saxophone and bassist Armando Gola.

Following Sandoval will be Chris Botti’s tenure, from Dec. 6-11 and shows at both 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. nightly. Tickets are $45 at tables and $30 at the bar. Botti will be joined by his band, Billy Childs on piano and keyboards, guitarist Mark Whitfield, bassist Jon Ossman and Billy Kilson on drums.
