Boston residents better prepare for a bean-tastic festival this September, when Berklee College of Music and the BeanTown Jazz Festival partner to present the opening concert for the fifth annual BeanTown Jazz Festival, from Sept. 23-24.
The Sept. 23 concert will bring jazz and R&B vocalist Lalah Hathaway to the Berklee Performance Center and on Sept. 24, alto saxophonist Miguel Zenon will perform at the outdoor stage on Columbus Ave.
General admission tickets for Hathaway are $25, with preferred seating and a pre-concert reception with Hathaway for $50. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster and at the Berklee Performance Center Box Office. Zenon’s festival performance is free.
Other performers at the BeanTown Jazz Festival will be announced shortly.
