After being hit with two hurricanes in three weeks and with another on the way, Florida residents can use as much help as they can get to rebuild their communities. Answering the call for help is Basin Street Records, which will donate $3 for every record, DVD, hat, or T-shirt purchased between Sept. 3 and Sept. 20 to the American Red Cross effort for Florida hurricane relief.
Purchases from Basin Street’s Web site will automatically be counted, but if you purchase your items from a store or other online retailer, you simply need to fax the receipt to Basin Street Records at 504-483-7877 by Wed., Sept. 22. Or, if you prefer, you can email a scanned image to [email protected].
Either way, make sure you include your name so that Basin Street can make the donation in your name. If you purchase two or more items, also send them your address to receive the free BSR Festival Sampler 2004 CD, which contains one track from each of their nine recording artists. If you miss the deadline for disaster relief help, but would still like a sampler, don’t worry because the “buy two, get a free CD” promotion is ongoing.
