Arturo Sandoval Cancels Plans to Open Jazz Club in Miami

Earlier this month it appeared Miami would have a new jazz venue in Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts until the proposed club’s namesake, Arturo Sandoval pulled out earlier this week.

The Miami-based Cuban trumpeter was also to serve as curator of the club, but Sandoval told the Miami Herald that “it’s not the best moment to take this risk” because of basic goods’-specifically food and fuel’s-rising costs.
