A Pizza With Nothing On It

The constantly touring jam band The String Cheese Incident will perform at Wolf Trap in Vienna, Va., on Thurs. July 19 to promote their latest album, Outside Inside (Sci Fidelity). The group is creating a widespread panic in the jam-band world with its self-described “sacreligious mix of bluegrass, calypso, salsa, Afro-pop, funk, rock and jazz.” Sounds like gumbo to me! Outside Inside is the band’s first studio release in almost three years. It presents a steady mix of feel-good lyrics, extended solos and structured melodies.

The group has shared stages with musicians like Bob Dylan and Bruce Hornsby, and is continuing to make a name for itself in the ever-expanding jam-band realm.
