A Midsummer Night’s Jazz

You read A Midsummer Night’s Dream in high school. You watched A Midsummer Night’s Sex Comedy in movie theaters. Stay tuned for “A Midsummer Night’s Jazz,” an evening of jazz performances at Los Angeles’ Ford Amphitheatre Aug. 10. The evening includes a duet performance by pianist Kenny Barron and violinist Regina Carter (pictured left), and a performance by vocalist Claudia Acuña. The concert benefits Jazz Bakery, a nonprofit nightclub and music organization.

General admission tickets are $20 and $25. The $75 “Croissant Package” offers VIP concert seating and a $20 Jazz Bakery gift certificate. The $125 “Upper-Crust” package offers admission to a pre-concert, meet-the-artist champagne reception. Packages prices are tax deductible.
