Lafayette Harris Trio
Featuring Melba Moore
Muse

Backed by pianist Lafayette Harris, bassist Dwayne Dolphin and drummer Cecil Brooks III, vocalist Melba Moore returns to the microphone in grand style and swings and sings an outstanding mix of standards and originals, including "He Could Be Perfect For Me," "I'm Smiling," "In The Wee Small Hours Of The Morning," and the haunting "Lady Sings The Blues." Welcome back, Melba!

I'm appreciative of JazzTimes and Mr. Holley giving this record some attention. But this is not a Melba Moore CD! It's primarily a trio record with 12 selections. Melba is simply a featured guest singing the 4 selections noted in Mr. Holley's review. Unfortunately, though I was honored to have her as a guest, all the attention of the review went to Melba and none to my piano playing or writing. http://lafayetteharrisjr.com/music/index.html
