Jazz has its share of musical family partnerships-mostly brothers. Terra Mars offers a variation with the wife-husband teaming of saxophonist Sue Terry and pianist John Di Martino. Combining their Latin and Carribean music backgrounds, these two have come up with an easy-on-the-ears mellow mainstream sound that carries a distinct beat of the southern hemisphere. This recording of original tunes shows Terry and Di Martino both to be proficient composers and soloists. - Sunsh Stein
