Mark Lucas is an inventive acoustic guitarist with a wide range of stylistic approaches. Playing solo, he weaves splendid harmonies for "Waltz for Debbie" and "When I Fall in Love," and injects fervent energy into Jobim's "A Felicidade" and Chick Corea's "Spain." He switches to guitar-synthesize only once, for a double-tracked version of Sonny Rollins' "St. Thomas." Bassist Jon Hunter and drummer Matt Taylor are added on "Moon River" and "Strange Meadowlark."
