Jazz Cruise 2014 Announces Lineup

The lineup for the Jazz Cruise 2014, which advertises itself as “the first and only full ship charter in the world dedicated to ‘straight-ahead’ jazz,” has been announced. For its 13th annual sailing, the cruise will feature more than 100 musicians. The Jazz Cruise 2014 will depart from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., on January 26, traveling to Turks & Caicos, San Juan, St. Maarten and Half Moon Cay before returning to Florida on February 2.

Artists appearing on the cruise for the first time include Manhattan Transfer, Poncho Sanchez, Cedar Walton, Dick Hyman and Gregory Porter. Returning performers include Randy Brecker, Ann Hampton Callaway, Bill Charlap, Clayton Brothers, Freddy Cole, Kurt Elling, Nnenna Freelon, Wycliffe Gordon, Tommy Igoe, Lewis Nash, Houston Person, John Pizzarelli and the world famous Arturo Sandoval.

Guests will also be able to participate in various panel discussions among the musicians.
