Description A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts, a public arts magnet high school located in West Palm Beach, Florida, is the No. 1 Arts and Academics public high school in the nation according to Newsweek/The Daily Beast (37th overall out of 21,000+ public schools). Entry to the Band Department is by audition annually in the winter (January/February) for residents of Palm Beach County only. Dreyfoos Jazz regularly sends students to the Florida All-State Jazz Band, Jazz Band of America, the Grammy Band Camp, etc. Dreyfoos Band students earn millions in scholarships at the nation's top colleges, universities, and conservatories. DSOA students visit with or are visited by top national jazz artists over the last 30 years including Wynton Marsalis, Wycliffe Gordon, Jeff Rupert, Marcus Printup, Ali Jackson, and many more.
