|Description||OMS began in 1997 out of necessity. Amanda Carr and Bob Pascarella were composing partners serving a multitude of Boston area clients, providing varied audio services including, in large part, composing original music, thus forming Original Music Service. With a rapidly growing client and project list and Bob’s engineering background, they added live recording to their services and opened up Original Music Studios in 2002, a commercial recording studio just south of Boston in Braintree, Massachusetts along with 2 other partners. With increasing live recording projects, radio and tv spots and documentary work, they were able to expand into producing artists. With Amanda as a viable jazz vocalist, the studio contracted noted jazz and big band drummer Kenny Hadley to produce “Tender Trap” in 2004 , the first produced jazz project at OMS. It was at this time the studio became a record label, partnering with Burnside Distribution and Dr. Jazz Promotions to ensure the inevitable success of Tender Trap. "Soon" followed in 2007, which was a dedicated story by Nat Hentoff in the Sept issue of the Wall Street Journal. Recording gear upgrades and a beautiful Trident Series 65 console created a trademark sound for Original Music. Individually, Amanda Carr and Bob Pascarella have multiple composing awards including 7 Telly’s and an Emmy. In 2006, Original Music relocated to a new facility in Hanover, MA just 20 minutes south of Boston. With Recording, Mixing, Editing and Mastering services along with Graphics Design, Marketing and Distribution, Original Music Studios is a complete production service provider. The company hopes to expand its artist base and staff in 2010.|
