Alan Chan Jazz Orchestra - Year of the Rooster Celebration Concert @ The Baked Potato

STUDIO CITY, CA: Alan Chan Jazz Orchestra (ACJO), a 17-piece big band that is comprised of top jazz musicians in Los Angeles, is presenting a concert at the world-renown The Baked Potato to celebrate the Year of the Rooster on Sunday, January 29, 2017.

This concert will feature exquisite tunes written by award-winning composer Alan Chan. Special guests will include singer-songwriter Toonyun (Toonyun.com) and Boston-based suona / Chinese double-reed horn virtuoso Guo Yazhi.

Alan Chan is the recipient of the 2015 ASCAP/George Duke Commissioning Prize and winner of 2011 ArtEZ Jazz Composition Contest (Netherlands). His new work Denali World, will be premiered by the 67-piece Symphonic Jazz Orchestra on Sunday, May 7 at the Carpenter Center in Long Beach, California.
