Mainly Mozart Festival - Evolution Series Concert

Celebrated for its imaginative and thoughtfully curated programming, artistic excellence, and distinguished history of acclaimed performances, San Diego's Mainly Mozart Festival's Evolution series celebrates today's musical innovators, and asks the question "What if Mozart were composing today?" This concert, which includes a pre-concert 6:30 PM No-host bar and appetizers, is entitled “Urban Rustic” -and offers cool cutting hybrids of traditional fiddle music, jazz and rock with a couple of originals by Evolution curator, Stephen Prutsman. Concert includes live music from an original score by Stephen Prutsman to Charlie Chaplin’s hysterically funny short called, “One A.M.”,
Prutsman’s Jazz inspired Quintet “Dramatis Personae”, and the world Stephen Prutsman's “fiddle music”for String Octet. Artists include the Hausmann Quartet, Todd Palmer Clarinet, and Squid Inc- The hip new string quartet out of the Bay Area performing original works and arrangements.
