Alizon is joined by hard blowing R&B sax player “Sax Gordon” Beadle. After early career work with Bay-Area Blues giant Johnny Heartsman, Beadle relocated to the East coast. Jay McShann, Roomful of Blues, Junior Watson, John Hammond, Sherman Robertson, Toni Lynn Washington, and Soul legend Solomon Burke. He has also performed with Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, James Cotton, Junior Wells, Little Milton, Ben E. King, Hubert Sumlin, Sam Moore (of Sam & Dave), Johnny Johnson, Howard Tate, Martha Reeves, and Johnny Copeland.
Drummer Steve Brown has been playing' the blues with Boston's best since 1975, when he started with the legendary band Powerhouse. He provided the back beat for Sugar Ray and the Bluetones, backing up blues greats: Jimmy Rogers, Otis Rush, and Sunnyland Slim. Steve has also toured with Luther "Guitar Jr." Johnson, Motor City Rhythm Kings, and Little Frankie and the Premiers.
Well known for his encyclopedic knowledge of soul and blues idioms, Steve was the drummer behind Michelle "Evil Gal" Willson and the Susan Tedeschi Band in 1993 and 1994 respectively, as each band represented Boston at the National Blues Competition in Memphis, TN.
