Swinging, purring and stomping at 80+: Detroit based Pianist/singer Ms. Jo Thompson, will debut “Slender, Tender and Tall: An Evening with The Fabulous Ms. Jo Thompson” – at the famed Cafe Carlyle on March 21st in a special late night series called Second Act. The price tag is friendly and the talent is superb.
Ms. Thompson - a timeless, knockout beauty of 80+ - plays piano and vamps, purrs and romps her way through jazz and standards from the 1930’s through the present, along with her own original material. She has been critically lauded by JazzTimes, The New York Times, All About Jazz, Variety, Time Out New York, All Music Guide, The Detroit Free Press, the New York Post, the New York Daily News and many other publications.

“Slender, Tender and Tall: An Evening with The Fabulous Ms. Jo Thompson” will run March 21, 22 and 23, and repeat March 28 and 30. Showtime is 10:45.
Cover charges are $25 weeknights and $30 weekends, with a $25 food and beverage minimum. Ms. Thompson will appear at Cafe Carlyle with Bassist Calvin Hill and Drummer Mike Campenni.
