Turning Point: world premiere music by Dave Burrell

Acclaimed composer-pianist Dave Burrell returns to the Rosenbach to premiere seven original compositions commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Civil War.

Dave Burrell spends hundreds of hours researching and collaborating with Rosenbach staff to make use of the Rosenbach’s Civil War-related collections. In this concert, he'll explore events in 1863: the Emancipation Proclamation, the Battle of Vicksburg, and the Battle of Gettysburg.
Steve Swell will accompany Dave Burrell.

This concert will also be performed on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 6 pm and Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 7 pm.

Ticket Price: $20, with special discounts for members, member guests, and students.
