Zakir Hussain Duo with Joshua Redman

A first-time duo encounter between Hussain and saxophone giant Joshua Redman. A Berkeley native, Redman has established himself as the preeminent tenor player of his generation, recording 13 albums as a leader, co-founding the SFJAZZ Collective and touring the world with the recent co-op quartet project, James Farm. For this momentous meeting, the shared improvisational prowess of these two titans from the jazz and Indian classical worlds will bridge cultures in the name of fresh exploration.
