The Sonus Rex label, a New York City based independent creative music production label operated by Sten Hostfalt, recognizes the transformation of the record and the recorded media product, by introducing a custom made one-of-a-kind live audio CD format. Each single record with it's own individually unique program content and sequence and previously unreleased tracks. Although the records may contain parts of previously released albums, these are custom concert only 'mixtape' type of recordings created for, distributed and sold at concerts only and not available online or in record stores. Each unique single concert-only available record will have it's own singularly unique program content, sequence and cover art. A format designed to expand the traditional stock, itemized CD merchandize product in order to match, anticipate and represent each unique event in a flexible manner artistically reflective of the creative live performance processes and practices.
