Jarasum International Jazz Festival

Jarasum International Jazz Festival is the largest music festival in Korea. It is held on the beautiful Jara island in Gapyeong each year in October. Since its start in 2004, famous artists such as John Scofield, Kyle Eastwood, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Tower of Power, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Freddy Cole Quartet, and many other fabulous artists have jazzed up the festival. Not only can people see breathtaking performances of world famous musicians, but they can also enjoy the music of various off-bands that can be spotted around the venue. Moreover, midnight jazz cafes make the autumn chill melt down with a jazzy touch. This year JIJF will mark its 9th festival on October 12th (the festival will last three days, 10/12~10/14).
