Kettle Moraine Jazz Festival
Sep 07 - Sep 08, 2012
The West Bend Sunrise Rotary Foundation, Inc., produces the annual Kettle Moraine Jazz Festival. The festival takes place along the banks of the upper Milwaukee River at Riverside Park in West Bend, Wisconsin, 30 minutes north of downtown Milwaukee.
Festival seating and the entertainment stage are covered by tent protecting patrons from the elements, plus there is plenty of space outside the tent to set up chairs or blankets and enjoy the surroundings. The festival draws more than 5,500 jazz lovers from all over the Midwest, particularly from southeast Wisconsin and northeast Illinois.
In addition to music, the festival has tempting international cuisine, an arts marketplace where local and regional artisans display and sell their work, and interactive sponsor exhibits.
Proceeds from the event benefit area organizations through the West Bend Sunrise Rotary Foundation. In its history, the festival has contributed more than $380,000 to charitable groups in southeastern Wisconsin.
