Each of these legends of the silver screen will be brought to life in unique biographical dramas written and performed by rising stars of the New York stage. Theresa Moriarty takes you behind the scenes of Liz Taylor’s early tragedies and two romances as different as night and day. Actress-singer Ryan Jillian bares the heart of Lena Horne whose personal life was in chaos as she worked to become Hollywood’s first African-American female star. Ashley Arico reveals the mysterious Greta Garbo’s turbulent private life and haunted past. The renowned acting guru, author (Truth), and producer (“A Raisin in the Sun”) Susan Batson directs this new season of Slices of Lives which she calls -- what else? -- “The Beauties.”
