Jazz Roots: Jazz Meets Gershwin

The Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami opens its 2011-12 Jazz Roots series with a star-studded tribute concert highlighting the genius of George Gershwin. The program will be hosted by Michael Feinstein, with Terence Blanchard in his debut performance as the new artistic director of the Univ. of Miami's Frost Schol Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra. Special guests include: Dee Dee Bridgewater, opera superstar Denyce Graves, Dave Grusin, Mark O'Connor, Monica Mancini, and Shelly Berg.
