University Of The Streets is a community asset that located in Manhattan's East Village NYC has provided a place for creative interaction for a number of years.

This February 24 2011 concert performance, originally scheduled with guitarist Dom Minasi, was due to illness, switched to guitarist colleague, and Siwula's regular duo companion for the past three years, Sten Hostfalt.

Longtime contributors to the New York City and International creative music scene and performing together in over 50 concerts during 2008-10. Guitarist Sten Hostfalt and Alto/Tenor Saxophonist Blaise Siwula are among the most innovative, prolific and original improvisers on New York's Downtown scene, known as one of the world's most vital breeding grounds for new music. Their cumulative credits include over two decades of collaborations with hundreds of musicians including legendary masters of improvised music and Jazz Cecil Taylor, Jimmy Giuffre and Paul Bley.
