Jazz saxophonist and recording artist Chris Reinhardt, born and raised in Berlin, Germany started his instrumental education at age eleven, first attented music school in Erfurt, Germany guided by sax mentor Wolf Iben, later moved back to Berlin where he joined university program to specialize in jazz and popular music.
Chris gets inspiration from celebrated jazz trumpeter Chris Botti, saxophonist Boney James as well as artists Terence Blanchard, Will Downing and Keith Sweat. Influenced by his own blend of jazz, with a touch of soul, R&B and pop, he brings his fresh, elegant sax grooves to create his own smooth twist on the jazz genre.
After his collaboration with soul singer Bashiyra 'The Voice' on her single "It's Working Out" (2010) and the appearance as a semi-finalist of the International Songwriting Competition in the 2011 jazz category (ISC - Nashville, TN.) he has been in the studio crafting his upcoming debut album.
"Mind Evolution" released spring 2011, featuring soul/jazz vocalist Rogiérs (former organist, keyboardist and background singer of multi-platinum Grammy winner Alicia Keys), produced by L.A./Miami transplant and producer Astral22 is the first teaser release of his upcoming CD titled "Inside Identity" that features guest appearances by Jesse Fischer (keys), Federico Beltro (drums) and Felix Dubiel (piano). The single "Mind Evolution" reached #1 in May 2013 and again in January 2014 on ReverbNation's independent German jazz charts, constantly grooves in the Top 20 for 77 weeks and entered the Top 50 of the North American charts on Smooth Jazz Now for 16 weeks.
Chris regularly appears live on stage with German classic/pop/jazz pianist Felix Dubiel.
His solo debut album "Inside Identity" is scheduled for a spring 2014 release.
