Beatrix Becker’s compositions are pieces of romantic art of the piano music, which combines elements of classic, jazz and tango music. Her thoughts and feelings turn into musical notes which create piano music full of poetry. The audience is invited to immerge and be touched by love, melancholy, water and waves. The stroke of a key from the Berlin pianist is as expressive as her compositions. She forms each tone so dynamically as if it would be the extension of her inner voice.
Beatrix Becker has accomplished the feat of establishing a design of music which is easy, but yet not simplistic. In this musical world, the listener feels secure and caressed from melodies which are going directly into the ear and the heart, creating a feeling that is impossible to get enough of.
As the founder of the German tango-jazz-group “Bassa”; Beatrix Becker has already released two albums (Berlin Tango and Medialuna by Flowfish Records). From which, the group has sold more than 10,000 discs. With all of her musical projects (Bassa, Dulce Amargo, Luz Y Sombra), she played around 100 concerts each year. Her concert tours have brought the young musician all around Germany, Europe and Argentina. Radio stations from the east sea to the Tegernsee played her music. In 2011 she decided to produce her first solo album with her own piano compositions.
Beatrix Becker studied clarinet and piano in Mayence/Germany. After finalizing her classical studies, she studied further in tango, flamenco, jazz, composition and improvisation. Mulo Francel (Quadro Nuevo), Giora Feidman and Irma Urteaga (and others) influenced and supported her.
