Anne Paceo

An important and versatile young drummer from France, Anne Paceo was born in 1984. By 1998 she was playing professionally. She took lessons from Sunny Murray and learned from influential workshops with Dianne Reeves, Kenny Garrett, Charlie Haden and Ravi Coltrane. She studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. Paceo has worked with Rhoda Scott, Rick Margitza, Andy Sheppard and Charlie Haden’s Liberation Music Orchestra and such European talents as Henrix Texier, Stephane Belmondo, Laurent De Wilde, Giovanni Mirabassi, Riccardo Del Fra, Laurent Dehors, Marcel Azzola, Stephane Guillaume, Mederic Collignon, Olivier Themime, Alain Jean-Marie, Sophie Alour, Thomas Savoy, Sylvian Beuf, Elise Caron, Remi Vignola, Stephane Kerecki, Thomas Savy, Geraldine Laurent, Andy Emler, Eric Le Lann, Pierre-Alain Goualch, the Rebecca M. Quintet and the Christian Escoude Trio. Paceo, who also occasionally leads her own groups, is a significant voice of the future, one who is making vital music for the 21st century.
