Since 2008, Shannon J. Effinger's work has appeared in publications such as Jazz Inside Magazine and Society HAE. She holds a B.A. in English and American literature from New York University's College of Arts and Science, as well as an M.F.A. in creative writing (nonfiction) from Sarah Lawrence College.
