About Evan Wessler

Since growing up listening to the blare of big band music emanating from his dad's tool shop, Evan Wessler has been all about jazz. After playing guitar in his high school's jazz band, he and his college roommate went on to form their own group, Swing Set, at Bucknell University. It was there that Evan was inspired to write about jazz in a class taught by none other than Phil Haynes, renowned veteran drummer of the NYC jazz scene and currently Jazz Artist-in-Residence at Bucknell University. Since, Evan has returned to Long Island, and continues to indulge his passion for jazz by playing, listening, and writing.
