Jim Harrington is the longtime music critic for the Oakland Tribune. His writings have appeared in several books and publications, including Rolling Stone and Jazz Times. Besides covering music, Harrington also writes travel pieces and is the former San Francisco Bay Area nighlife correspondent for Fodors. His favorite hockey team is the Chicago Blackhawks, which, he likes to mention often, beat Philly in the 2010 Stanley Cup. Go Hawks.
