About Sean Gough
Sean Gough is a pianist based in New Jersey, USA. He has long been active as a freelancing jazz musician, as a founding member of several jazz groups, as a solo recitalist in jazz and classical settings, and as an accompanist for a variety of instrumentalists, vocalists, ensembles, and composer-performers. Sean appears most frequently with Go Trio, "a shining example of both a trio’s tightness and ... elasticity" (Washington City Paper). Besides ongoing freelancing, he performs and records with Ojespa Jazz Project, The Jack Furlong Quartet, and singers Viktorija Gecyte and Jeannie Brooks. Sean is also a Master's candidate in Rutgers University's Jazz History M.A. program, and a graduate of Lafayette College (B.A. music and history).
