About Ronny Shinder
Born in Montreal, educated in Israel, Ronny Shinder now resides in Toronto where he is renowned for his stylish yet striking approach towards fashion, music and nature photography. His interest in photography stems from being the last person to class on the first day of a new semester and subsequently being placed in charge of the darkroom facilities at school.
“My photography has evolved into being able to bring out the light within my subjects. My approach with people allows them to relax which ensures a genuine image.” While working with various Polaroid formats for proofing commercial projects, he started to incorporate Polaroid techniques as a creative outlet for his fine art images. Each one-of-a-kind image is unique in its interpretation and canvas application. Today, as an accomplished artist, Ronny provides performance imagery for the Toronto Jazz Festival, Hugh’s Room, Jazz FM radio among others. Mr. Shinder’s work has been shown @ Here & Now Art Gallery,
Thus began his journey for the “image.”
Joseph D. Carrier Gallery, BCE Place and others. His work is represented in the Polaroid Canada Collection.
