About Elena Gooray
Elena Gooray is a contributing writer for JazzTimes and a student at the University of Pennsylvania earning her bachelor’s degree in linguistics. She also writes music reviews for 34th Street, Penn’s weekly arts and culture magazine, and has hosted shows for the student-run radio station WQHS. Gooray was born and raised in Silver Spring, MD, where she was editor-in-chief of Silver Chips, the student newspaper of Montgomery Blair High School.
