About Jon Hammond

Jon Hammond has been a rabid jazz fan since he got bored with Rock & Roll, back in the late 80s. Jon still enjoys R & R but Jazz has become his first and foremost preferred musical form.
"While I feel I arrived late to the party in many ways, I have voraciously consumed more then my fair share of jazz sounds and experiences, recorded and especially in a live setting, getting caught up." Jon says.
"No two jazz concerts are ever alike, and the vibe is so congenial I am always looking forward to my next adventure in jazz".

A portrait and wedding photographer in a previous life, he enjoys capturing jazz musicians performing and offstage.

His love and fierce dedication to the jazz artform has led Jon to radio broadcast hosting opportunities, jazz panel discussions produced with the Jazz Journalist's Association, and Jon currently works as an Account Executive with JazzTimes.
