About Brent Butterworth
Brent Butterworth has been writing about consumer electronics since 1989. Besides writing about audio and video for JazzTimes, he is a contributing technical editor to Sound & Vision magazine, and has worked as an editor for Home Entertainment, Home Theater, Video magazine, and others. He studied jazz at the University of North Texas and at the Drummer's Collective in New York City. His jazz performance experience includes a few years playing the Chapman Stick in saxophonist David Aaron's group Short Memory, plus occasional gigs and sessions on his first love: the ukulele.
