What needs to be said about the tenor sax giant that hasn’t already been said? Winner of the Grammy’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2004 and the recipient of the NEA Jazz Masters Award in 1983, the 76-year-old New York City native has recorded over 70 albums, inarguably altered the course of jazz, and shared stages with Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, John Coltrane and Jackie McLean.
