A member of the Jazz Journalists Association, Dr. Ana Isabel Ordonez is a writer, jazz editor, independant filmmaker, poet, music/art promoter and producer. She was educated in Europe and is an accomplished scientist who has lectured and cooperated in miscellaneous capacities throughout South America, Europe, Africa, East-Europe, Japan, China and New Zealand...

Ana is Docteur es Sciences in Animal Biology and holds three post-doctorates. In 2004 she published a book which enlightens integrated pest management strategies in Luxembourg. She has also published numerous articles on the value of nature.

Ana Isabel has been a recipient of multiple grants : the Dutch Embassy Luxembourg, the American Embassy Luxembourg and Ville de Dudelange for her film projects on film noir and jazz and in 2009 by Augusta Savage Gallery, University of Massachusetts for her film project on the Shoah.

Ana Isabel is the founder and Executive Director of Ruby Flower Rercords. Ruby Flower Productions is at the core of the 2011 Fundraiser Dizzy Gillespie hosted by Bill Cosby. The project supports the Dizzy Gillespie Memorial Fund which helps underwrite the costs of hospitalization, diagnostic tests, and a full range of surgical and medical care for jazz musicians who are uninsured and without the ability to pay.
