About Phyllis Sues

On April 4th, 1923, at the age of 14, Phyllis Sues had her first ballet lesson in New York City and from that day on, she knew dance was for her. Phyllis performed as a Spanish dancer in a USO tour for the Air Corps. She then went on to perform in five long-run Broadway shows and danced in South America with the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo. Phyllis also performed with dancer, Donnie Weissmuller and toured America and Europe. After moving to LA and dancing on TV and appearing in comedy sketches with former husband, Alan Sues, she went on to design her own successful fashion collection. The label ran for 22 years.

Five years ago, Phyllis discovered a new passion. A passion for music, Her genre, Jazz. Her instrument, the piano. Phyllis brought together an extraordinary group of musicians including, Pablo Motta, Coco Trivisonno, Ronnie Manaog, Marcello Caceras and Chris Trujillo and at 87, composed and produced her debut Jazz CD entitled "Scenes of Passion".

"Scenes of Passion" is full of beautiful Jazz songs, which Phyllis also performs on piano and sings vocals, along with Scarlet Rouge.

Phyllis, an extraordinary pianist and Jazz artist went on to compose and produce six Tangos and released her follow up CD, Tango Insomnia".
