About TJ Panula

T.J. Panula
Director of Jazz Studies

Mr. Panula is currently in his 12th year of teaching and his 5th year at Hannibal Public Schools. Under his direction, both the Middle School Jazz Ensemble and Studio Jazz Ensemble have performed at a variety of jazz festivals and never have received anything less than Outstanding Performance or First Place in any festival they have entered.

T.J.’s other duties include directing the Pirate Pride Marching Band (2010), Director of the HHS Concert Band, Director of Percussion Studies 6-12 and Technology Coordinator for the Instrumental Music Department.

He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Culver Stockton College in 1998. Prior to coming to Hannibal, Mr. Panula has taught in the Jefferson R7, Mehville and Gasconade Co. R1 Schools. He currently resides in Hannibal, Missouri with his wife Michelle and his two sons, Sean and Logan.
