About Jason Fifield

Jason Fifield is an upright bassist and filmmaker and has produced promotional material and DVDs for Philadelphia area musicians, artists and dancers, including Pew fellows Tyrone Brown, Orrin Evans, and Germaine Ingram, Kennedy Center honoree Trudy Pitts, painter Charles Earley and Indian dance troupe Usiloquy. Jason is currently finishing up post-production on his first documentary film, “A Philadelphia Education in Jazz,” featuring scores of internationally renowned jazz musicians, educators and students from the city of Philadelphia. Jason is a working member of the board of Jazz Bridge, a 501(c)3 that helps jazz and blues musicians in crisis, and is also on the board of the Philadelphia Jazz Heritage Project of the University of the Arts. He resides in Philadelphia with his wife and two children.
