About Edward Bride

A native of Bristol, Connecticut, Ed Bride is president of Berkshires Jazz, Inc., sponsors of the Pittsfield CityJazz Festival, and is founder/chairman of that Festival.

He is also president of the New England Jazz Alliance, which operates the New England Jazz Hall of Fame, and VIce President of American Jazz Venues, which operates the American Jazz Repertory Orchestra

He is also Board Secretary, New England Jazz Ensemble.

Bride is a member of the Jazz Journalists Association.

During the 1960s, he was student chairman of the Villanova Intercollegiate Jazz Festival, and music director of Villanova's campus radio station, WWVU (now WKVU).
