About Dominic Fragman

Jazztimespic1_thumb

Dominic Fragman took a strong interest in Jazz as a young teenager and since then has maintained a burgeoning relationship with the music. He is most drawn to the pioneers, re- developers and those who push the frontiers of Jazz. As much in love with the playing end as the listening, Fragman spent some time as a student at Berklee College of Music studying drum set. However, his college career soon changed direction. He received a degree in History from St. Mary's College of Maryland where he spent a lot of time reading histories of jazz and writing about the social stigma of the music, its musicians and the governments use of jazz as propaganda. Currently, Fragman is a full time musician. In an attempt to further his understanding of jazz and free improvisation and his ability as a player, he studies drumming with avant-garde legend, Paul F. Murphy. Fragman also manages country artist, Courtlyn Carr.
