Chip Shelton has earned a reputation as a renowned flutist in the world of jazz. In recent years he also has established himself as a formidable saxophonist.

With 8 CD releases to his credit, Chip Shelton's 2008 Grammy-considered 8th release, Imbued With Memories was dubbed "A Masterpiece" by XM Radio's Dr. Nick.
In 2007 All Music Guide gave 4½ Stars to Shelton’s 7th release, Have Flute Will Travel- Stop2, Cape May Jazz Fest. His 6th CD Peacetime received a Top Jazz CD of 2006 Award from Soul-Patrol.com. All Chip Shelton recordings are groove-tinged,
“reach-for-the-sky” collaborations with recognized jazz luminaries like Ron Carter, Doug Carn, Onaje Allan Gumbs, Roy Meriwether, Lewis Nash, Ryo Kawasaki, Lou Volpe, Steve Kroon, Donald Smith and many more.
