Everyone seems to always complain how much they pay for their auto and home insurance and want to know how to pay less. The simple truth is that there is no special secret to paying less. Much like anything else in order to find the best rates it requires shopping on your part. As an example, if you were interested in buying a new fridge would you go to an appliance store that only carried one brand of fridges? I am guessing probably not. I hope you would want to go to an appliance store that carried multiple brands and models whcih would allow you to compare and figure out which fridge fits your needs. You would also want a sales person that was educated on all the different brands and models so they could answer your questions and help you in making the correct purchase. Why should you treat shopping for insurance any differently? Instead of dealing with an insurance agent that offers a product from one company why not work with an agent that works with multiple companies? Most people are not aware of this but there are agents that do represent multiple insurance companies. They are called independent agents. michigan Farmers Insurance
