Faculty Composer’s Concert: Twinge (Part of New Music Festival)
Doug Leibinger leads the SSU Jazz Orchestra in the Bay Area premiere of his “I Dream of Debris,” plus a big band work by SRJC composer Mark Anderman. Members of the SSU Faculty Jazz Ensemble will play pieces by George Marsh and Randy Vincent.

SSU Jazz Orchestra, Classic Jazz Ensemble and Post-Bop Ensemble
Three SSU jazz groups bring a diverse repertoire to Weill Hall: "K Flat and the Jazz Moles," "Quicksilver Jazz Messenger Service" and the SSU Jazz Orchestra. We will also announce and hear from the winners of the first annual Sonoma State/Belgorod, Russia Jazz Improvisation Contest.

Jazz Forum: Ted Shafer’s Jelly Roll Jazz Band
Banjoist Ted Shafer formed this band in 1959 to emulate the sound of Joe Oliver's Creole Jazz Band. Five years later, he founded the Merry Makers Record Company, which has had over 30 releases to date. This is a great opportunity to catch some traditional jazz from a group that's been doing it for over 50 years! Free
