You can get started by going on slow walks on flat surfaces. As you get fitter you can increase your pace and distance, or start walking uphill. Make walking fun; invite friends or family members to come walk with you.
It's crucial that you put these tips into practice and do so consistently if you are to benefit from them. Fitness is something you can achieve if you dedicate yourself to it. You'll need to commit to fitness every day -- not just whenever you feel like eating right or exercising. You shouldn't try to do too much too soon. Long lasting results don't happen overnight.
