We went from the Main City making to the Washington Monument. One aspect that is not mentioned much is that there can never be described as a building of greater elevation than that Monument. There's an aluminum cap that tops the aluminum cap and showing on the cap are two words: Laus Deo. Many people to the monument are unaware that the words are even there until they've find out about it somewhere. I didn't know about it until this visit No one can see the words, which have been there for many years, and are 555 feet, 5.125 inches high and are located along with the monument facing skyward to the Father of our nation and overlooking the 69 square miles which constitute the District of Columbia, money of the Usa of America.Laus Deo - just two small words that do not seem quite significant, however they are significant enough to have been put at the highest level increasing over the most powerful city in the most productive nation in the world. Those two small phrases, translated from the Latin and containing only four syllables and seven letters, basically mean "Praise be to God!"I have claustrophobia and it was difficult for me in the crowded elevator to the top of the lovely monument, but the trip up was worth it when I looked out over a view of the town. which is divided into four main sections. It's a well planned town and from the top of the monument we may easily see the original plan of the developer, Pierre Charles l'Enfant, who designed it to form a perfect cross with the White House to the north. We had earlier visited the Capitol to the east and later we would visit the Jefferson Memorial, that is to the south, and the Lincoln Memorial to the west. The construction of this giant obelisk began in 1848 while James Polk was the President of the United States. It wasn't until 1888 that the monument was finally inaugurated and opened to the public. It took twenty-five years to limit the funeral having its gratitude to the Daddy of our land, Laus Deo...Praise be to God!" The building is a stone and marble structure. When the foundation of the Washington Monument was laid on July 4th, 1848, many goods were settled inside - one was the Holy Bible offered by the Bible Society. The discipline, moral path of the founder and first President of a special democracy is exhibited by one nation under God.Why was the town integrated the form of a cross? What about separation of state and church? Separation of state and church has never been in the Constitution. A area organized in the shape of a combination was without doubt designed to provide a serious meaning.Inside the monument are 50 landings and 898 methods. The way was walked all by us down to the road, as opposed to using the crowded elevator again and every action was mentioned by me. Next day the calves of my legs were very sore, but I would not need overlooked the walk down for anything. Those who took the lift missed a lot of the history of the important monument. Each one of the 50 landings share a meaning. On the 12th landing there is a prayer offered by the city of Baltimore, on the 20th landing we found a offered by some Chinese Christians and on the 24th landing there was a speech created by Sunday School children from Nyc and Philadelphia costing Proverbs 10:7, Luke 18:16 and Proverbs 22:6. Lauss Deo... Praise Be to God!"George Washington was a praying man and he prayed for this country: "Almighty God, we make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy holy protection that Thou wilt incline the hearts of the citizens to develop a of subordination and obedience to government and entertain a brotherly love and love for each other and for their fellow citizens of the United States at large. and ultimately that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy and to demean ourselves with that charity, humility and pacific temper of mind which were the features of the Divine Author of our blessed religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we could never hope to be described as a happy land. Grant our supplication, we beseech Thee, through Jesus Pictures of Jesus. Amen.l"There are many inscriptions present in public places all over our nation's capitol and we could easily get the signature of God since it is unmistakably written everywhere you look. You may not remember all the data such as the size and height of "Laus Deo", where it is found or the name of the architects, but nobody may forget its meaning. These words tell the story::Unless the Lord watches within the town, the watchmen stand guard in vain."
