André became interested in music at age five, encouraged by her mother three years later enrolled in a conservatory to study organ. He studied organ for a few years getting his early work with him back to the piano to fall in love with jazz, also going to study improvisation.

At 13 years of age was composing his first songs and performed as a jazz musician integrating trios, quartets and quintets or in solo concert, in special style. And at 16 she wrote short didactic plays at the invitation of the school where she studied music, which became a full piano method for children.

Thereafter followed a series of awards and invitations to compose tracks for film, jingles for commercials, and erudite pieces. On 93 and 94 were invited to participate in the Winter Festival of Campos do Jordao a scholarship, presenting the following year in the Winter Music Festival in New Ribeirão Preto joining in the same year the piano course in the ECA-USP. Shortly after moving to São Paulo got a job at a major producer of tracks for commercials. Still in its first year of college won the award in the category Rising popular music-composition, that prize would win again two years later, this time composing a piece for classical chamber group Subject to Guincho.
The following year I got the first prize in the Visa MPB Instrumental recording as part of the award his first album that featured acoustic bass in Celio Barros who also accompanied him in the competition. In January 1999 he composed and recorded music for the ballet "Seven", produced by Companhia Paulista de Dance, inspired by the writings of Nelson Rodrigues. The premiere took place in May at the Teatro D. Pedro II, in Ribeirão Preto. In July he was professor at the XXX Winter Festival of Campos do Jordao, where she performed as soloist, accompanied by the Jazz Orchestra of the State of Sao Paulo. Completed and published in September the composition "Puzzles for Bass and Brass", commissioned by the Symphonic Band of the State of São Paulo, to concert commemorating the tenth anniversary of the group.
In 2000 participated in the Heineken Concerts side of Monica Salmaso, Beaker, Rodolfo Stroeter, Tutty Moreno and Tom Ferragutti. Virtually the same team, with the exception of Tom and Monica Salmaso Ferragutti, played in the first edition of the Chivas Jazz Festival in June 2001. He also wrote a piece for the special concert OSESP (Symphony Orchestra of São Paulo) with Banda Mantiqueira, under the baton of John Neschling, which will become CD with worldwide distribution. In January 2001, recorded the CD with trumpeter Randy Brecker Brazilian musicians.
