Danilo Perez Trio Dinner Concert
Panamanian Pianist returns to Mount Vernon Country Club
Wednesday, June 20th, 6:00 - 10:00 pm
Panamanian Pianist, Danilo Perez returns to Mount Vernon with his own trio. Danilo has performed at Mount Vernon in the past with legendary drummer Roy Haynes and bassist, John Pattitucci. His influence comes from his Latin American and Caribbean roots, but also from his early work with the late great trumpeter and Jazz Ambassador, Dizzy Gillespie. He has performed with Jack Dejohnette, Wayne Shorter and Wynton Marsalis to name a few. Perez is currently the Artistic Director of the Berklee College of Music Global Jazz Institute. He is considered one of the finest contemporary pianists and composers of our era. The concert is in part supported by the National Endowment of the Arts (NEA) through the Western Jazz Presenters Network (WJPN). Don't miss this one!
As usual a delicious buffet dinner will precede the concert beginning at 6:00 pm. The concert will start at 8:00 pm. The price for dinner and concert is $49.95 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Concert only seating is available for $20.00.
